Frequently asked questions
How do I check United's carry-on size and weight limit?
Start with the carry-on entry for your cabin and route on this page. Your ticketed fare, route and operating carrier can change the allowance, so confirm it in your booking and on the airline’s official page before departure.
Is checked baggage free on United?
Free checked baggage depends on fare, route, status and ticket conditions. This guide shows published size and weight rules; confirm included pieces and fees in your booking.
Which baggage rule applies on a United codeshare flight?
Codeshare rules can depend on the operating carrier and route. Check the operating airline shown on the ticket and use the smallest limit across your connections.
