BUPHY trust standard

How we verify baggage rules

BUPHY does not decide airline, airport or country rules. It helps travellers verify them accurately before departure by making evidence and scope clear.

1. We start with official primary sources

We prioritise airline baggage pages, airport and security authorities, and aviation-safety authorities. Search snippets, blogs and seller pages are not used as the rule source.

2. We state the scope

Airport screening, aircraft carriage and destination customs are separate decisions. We do not present one authority’s rule as a worldwide or every-airline answer.

3. We do not invent missing values

When a free-bag allowance changes by fare, route, status or operating carrier, we do not show an invented single number. We say when the ticket or Manage Booking must decide.

4. We show a review date and original link

Public guides and airline pages show a review date and a direct official link, so readers can inspect the original source rather than relying only on our summary.

5. When to re-check immediately before travel

Dangerous goods and batteries, codeshares and connections, destination customs and fare changes can change quickly. The current operating airline, departure airport and destination authority always override BUPHY.
