Liquids You Can Bring on a Plane
For carry-on baggage, the marked container size—not the amount remaining—matters. Check the 100ml / 3.4oz limit and your departure airport’s bag rule.
The 100ml / 3.4oz rule
Carry-on liquids commonly need to be in containers of 100ml / 3.4oz or less. Multiple containers may need to fit in the clear bag required by your departure airport.

Frequently asked questions
Does the amount left in a bottle change the carry-on rule?
No. Security screening normally uses the capacity printed on the container, not the amount still inside it.
Do medicine and baby liquids have the same rule as toiletries?
They can be handled separately when medically necessary or needed for an infant, but declaration and additional screening may be required.
